Find Out What Your “WHY” Is
Hello! Today I am going to ask you a very important question. I don’t want you to just read through this post and just put it on the back burner, I want you to really absorb this and think long and hard about your answer.
What Is Your “WHY” ? Why are you doing what you are doing? Why are you trying something new? Why have you been doing something for so long and do not know the real reason why? These are all questions that any common person with goals needs to figure out. Your “WHY” is going to make, or break your goals in the future. I want you to answer this question right now; “What is your “WHY”? Please don’t say, ” I want to make a lot of money.”, that is a very common answer and a very easy way out. You NEED to know what your “WHY” is, to help you to achieve your goals and dreams.
I can promise you one thing, if you do not have a big enough “WHY”, then whatever you are doing or whatever you are seeking after, you won’t be as successful as you would have been if you had just kept your “WHY” by your side. That means think about it throughout the day; let your “WHY” be your inspiration throughout your journey to success.
A “WHY” can be anything. It might be to help your kids grow and be taken care of. It might be you want to be on the right path to leadership and success. It might be that you want to be a better person, and help others or you want to change your life, and spend time with your family. These are some answers that I have heard from others when I asked them the question, “What is your why?”. Remember, think about your answer, don’t just make it about money. So many people say, “because I want to be rich.” or ” Because I want to make a million dollars.”, “because I want a Boat.”. I’m talking about the real reason “WHY” you do what you do. Understanding this simple principal is so crucial for you while you are on your path to success. There are many rocky roads and hurdles you will have to get through and if you do not have a big enough “WHY”, then when the going gets tough, your first reaction will be to quit, as I said in one of my earlier posts about how failing can be a good thing. Write down your “WHY” and look at it from time to time. When you succeed, you will look back at your reasons “WHY”, and it will mean so much more.
There will be a roller coaster ride through whatever you strive for in life, but know that you can keep going. With your “why” in mind, you will have a vision of what your life will be in the future.
Find out what your “WHY” is and start your journey. You deserve to accomplish your goals and dreams and with the proper mindset, nothing will be insurmountable.
Feel free to make a comment on this post and tell me your “WHY”. I love to hear them!
Until next time,
Ray MacDonald
